Recommendation: Dangerous Drugs Of Sex

Today i wanna post my first ever blog for BLS and I am so excited about that. 

And what movie would be better as my first recommendation blog on BLS then this little gem? Because if you are looking for sweet and adorable? You are completely wrong here.

And that’s the reason why i want to put the biggest

In world history right in the beginning. This movie has tons and tons of sexual violence and non-con in it. If you find scenes like that hard to watch, then don’t even attempt to watch it. You won’t like or enjoy it at all. This movie is really just for a specific taste… 

But what is this movie about anyway? 

It’s the story of Makoto, a typical office worker. Due to some unfortunate events his life gets turned upside down and he ends up alone, depressed and majorly drunk. In this spur of the moment he decides that suicide is the best way out for him, as he literally has lost everything dear in his life. But before he has a chance to jump off a building a mysterious man grabs him and knocks him out. 

When Makoto comes back to his senses he is tied down to a bed in a room that could just be described as an abandoned storeroom, completely naked and alone. His mysterious saviour appears and it becomes clear that he is in no hurry to let the young man go. What starts is a delicious torture and with the passing of time it becomes clear that nothing is what it seems to be…

And that’s all you’re gonna get from me regarding this storyline. It is a bit tricky to really write a recommendation for this movie because I already wanna dive deep into the storyline, start analysing and go all movie nerd crazy on it’s ass. But that hopefully shows you that this movie is not just the scandalous BDSM movie that people may like to make it out to be. This movie is A LOT more. 

Of course we are not having a sweet, cute BL in front of us. We have a movie with a topic that most people will find hard to handle. It is not telling us the perfect fairy tale story and no, there is nothing romantic about this movie at all. But it has a very deep storyline, with a very interesting and surprising message in it. It will confuse you and it will make you question things. But that’s what I love about good movies. When they are able to make me reevaluate what I think about certain things. 

So no, this movie is not a good movie for a lazy sunday afternoon, cuddled up in a blanket. It’s more for these times when you need a bit more edge. 

The acting of both leads is absolutely exquisite and so believable. They both are doing a fantastic job and it’s a joy to watch them. With a name like “Dangerous Drugs Of Sex”  you can obviously expect some major bedroom (well, broom cupboard) scenes. They are mostly pretty BDSM-ish, so be aware. I personally think they did an amazing job with these scenes and I can promise you that these scenes will do something with you. I’m not gonna tell you that you will find them sexy or anything (you might..), but they will leave a mark on you. I can tell you that. 

So if you like more dark and edgy movies and don’t mind the very clear sexual violence that they advertise on the tin then give this movie a try. The film makers definitely made Japan proud with this movie.
