Love Song: TupTup ChupChup OK 

Hello, hello, my friendly Misfits, 

It’s been a hot minute since I posted here, so when it came to light that we needed a last minute love song I was mega excited because the song coming to my mind might not be the typical choice, but I don’t even care. This song has been living rent free in my brain for like a month and the amount of time I have been listening to this song is sheer crazy. So I thought I share my current obsession with you guys, so that this fabulous song can live in a few other brains for a change and not just mine. 

So this awesome song is actually a bit different as it never has been used in a BL so far (which I still feel it’s a crime, but let’s move on from that), but it is sung by pretty much the three royal couples GMMTV has blessed the BL world with: Krist and Singto, Off and Gun and Bright and Win. 

I don’t know what made GMM decide to put these six together for such a bob but I don’t even care. Because this song is just so awesome. But I am getting the feeling I am forgetting something here in all my happy ranting. Oh yeah… The name of this miracle song: 

TupTup Chup Chup OK 

For me the title itself is already so much fun. Because the word tup is used in Thai to describe the sound your heart makes when it’s beating. Like the Japanese dokidoki in a way if you are familiar with that. So in Thai the word for it is tup. The other word in the title is chup and the avid Thai BL viewer will know what that means: kiss. And this word is again coming from the sound you make when you kiss someone. So tup and chup are both onomatopoeia, a word that gets created by the sound that it makes. And I am a big sucker for these kinds of words. 

So yes, the title in itself is already always making me smile, but the reason why this is really totally getting to me is definitely the singing of our boys. We all know I am not the biggest fan of current pop music. I am the old lady sitting in her arm chair complaining that back in the day everything was better and that the kids these days have no idea about music anymore. But the pure joy that this song is giving me is just incredible. I know all the voices of these six so well, that I can tell you who is singing what. And just hearing Krist and Singto together in this song is making me get goosebumps all over. It’s just so sweet and I still love their voices together. 

But let me stop prattling on how awesome this song is, because we will still be here next week, I am afraid. Just sit back and listen to this awesome bob and maybe even bob along with it. I know I will. I can also recommend listening to this song on full blast in your car, singing along very badly, with even worse thai, but all the joy and fun a person can have. And I honestly can’t wait for summer, so I can just crank up the volume, put down the windows of my car and cruise around Berlin, just enjoying life. Haha.
