Hello and welcome to another wonderful WOW Wednesday. And today I am actually extra excited to present this fine, young man, because he finally, finally found his way to our BL mothership. I don’t think there ever has been an actor so many people wanted to see in a BL like him. People have been seeing him as part of the BL community pretty much ever since 2016. But just since last friday, we finally can welcome him in our midst and I am so, so happy and excited about it.
But who am I talking about?
Nanon of course.
I think everyone who has seen My Dear Loser: Edge of Seventeen has shipped Nanon with Chimmon ever since this show came out. The amount of fans who have asked GMM to finally produce a BL with these two together is sheer crazy. So unfortunately with Bad Buddy just one half of this demand became true but if you ask me the more important one as well.
Because let’s face it. It’s rare to find such a young actor with so much experience and sheer talent. So having Nanon paired with another powerhouse of acting, Ohm, almost guarantees us a dream of a show. And I think last Friday showed that we won’t need to be scared of disappointment because the first episode of Bad Buddy was just like a warm hug from an old friend you haven’t seen in a while. It was just so awesome.
But before I descend into a full blown happy rant about this new GMM series, I shall try to concentrate on the important things: Nanon.

His Nickname And It’s Meaning
Nanon’s nickname actually has a very sweet origin. Not sure how many people are familiar with Thai names, but how it usually works is that you have a very complicated formal name and your family and friends give you a nickname. This nickname sometimes has meaning, sometimes it’s just a wish for the future of the child and so on.
In Nanon’s case his nickname comes from his grandmother’s home province of Nonthaburi. Usually the name would be written in that case with two different Ns. Yes, that sounds crazy, but there is more than one N in the Thai language. But Nanon’s uncle wanted to have something a bit funny in his name, so he changed the name around to be written with three times the same N. These three N’s are all standing for Nanon’s mum and her siblings. But also for Nanon, his mum and his sister, who all have names starting with an N as well.
Nanon once said that in his family the name Nanon means the centre of happiness and I totally love that sentiment.
Keeping It In The Family
So while we are already at family, it’s worth mentioning that Nanon is actually really close with his family. He is often seen with his younger sister and he even wants to get a tattoo commemorating his mum, dad and sister.
This family is so tight that I am not surprised that Nanon followed his dad into his chosen profession: Acting. Because, yes, indeed, his dad is also a successful Thai actor. His name is Khunakorn Kirdpan and he has actually starred together with Nanon in many productions.
He was for example in My Dear Loser and also in Hormones 2 and Kiss Me Again. He played T-Rex’s dad in I’m Tee Me Too and saved Tian’s life as the doctor performing his heart surgery in A Tale Of A Thousand Stars. No wonder Nanon is such a passionate actor. He pretty much has grown up in the trade.
A Seasoned Pro
So I am pretty sure no one is gonna be surprised when I say that Nanon actually started acting when he was just 3 MONTHS old. Isn’t that crazy? He starred in many ads and commercials together with his mum when he was just a tiny babe.
His proper acting debut came with Hormones 2 in 2014 which means Nanon was 13 years old by the beginning of the production, which is just plain crazy to me once more. And ever since our boy has been pretty busy. He landed his first lead role in 2016 with My Lil Boy and has since been the lead actor in 14 different series so far. Did I mention that this boy is still 20 as of this minute?
The King Of Dimples
I will be honest with you. I have always really admired Nanon as I felt that he is a really awesome actor. But I never saw much other appeal in him. I guess with him being so young and me being *cough* so old, I just never looked twice. But with Bad Buddy out now I have to say that my brain pretty much just melts whenever Nanon smiles. I think I have just very rarely (if ever) seen someone who has such an infectious smile like him. I don’t know if it’s the way his eyes go soft when he smiles or if it’s the all majestic dimples… But his smile is just magical. *sighs happily*
Love and Heartbreak
With the amount of shows and promotional responsibilities Nanon has it’s not really surprising that as of now he is single. But when looking at his dating history it seems like he is more the loyal kind of guy that is not too much into changing girlfriends. Crazily enough he once stated that his first relationship lasted for SEVEN years. He called it puppy love, but still, seven years of puppy love are still impressive.
Nanon also shared that he has had his heart broken nine times so far. I honestly have trouble believing this. Who would turn down a guy like this? He just needs to smile and everyone around him is putty in his hands…
The Man In Black
Not sure if you have noticed but our boy has a bit of a favourite colour and that’s black. If you look for pictures of Nanon you will mainly see him wearing black when he is in his private and comfortable clothes. He has said in the past that his favourite colours are black and red and I think it’s really something you notice when you look at pictures of him. But I won’t complain. I still believe that black is the best colour for clothes for anyone. And Nanon looks mighty fine in his black clothes.
Funnily enough his object of collection is totally fitting into the colour scheme as well: Black and red. Because Nanon collects everything about Deadpool. Pens, keychains, figurines… You name it and our boy most likely has it.
A Man Of The Craft
As I pretty much already stated in other WOW’s: I am a huge sucker for artists who don’t just have sheer talent but who also went through the hard process of really studying their craft. Passion and talent definitely can bring you far, but if you are not willing to put in the hours you need to be like a freak of nature and let’s be honest. There are not as many freaks of nature around as we might want. Lol. But Nanon definitely is one of these guys who really wanna learn what they are doing and he has pretty much given all his life’s efforts into becoming an artist.
He started at Amatyakul School in Bangkok, which is a special arts high school. After finishing there he moved on to Srinakharinwirot University where he is studying acting and directing for cinema at the College of Social Communication and Innovation.
Nanon once said that his dream job would be to become a film director in the future and I think we all hope that he can achieve this dream. I mean, with his talent in acting so far, I have no doubt that he will be able to make this happen.
And this was the last Weird Or Wonderful fact about our newest addition to BL royalty. I am sure that Nanon will receive tons and tons more attention now that he finally popped his BL cherry and I am so glad about that as well. Because he really, really deserves a shower of total crazy and overwhelming love and if you ask me there is no fandom better prepared to do this than the BL community. We know how to lift our artists up. We know how to make them explode in popularity. So let’s do our best with our lovely Nanon. Let’s show him what the international BL community can do if we fall in love with someone.
