Did You Know? Cutie Pie 2 And The Lemon Grass

And welcome to another edition of Did You Know. And today’s DYK is again a contribution from the lovely Nudnik who sent me this interesting little nugget of info. So thank you, Nudnik, for this. I didn’t know about this, so you educated me as well. 

So did you know… 

… that Thais believe that you can stop the rain if a virgin plants lemon grass into soil head over toes? 

No? Well, me neither, but apparently that’s really a thing. In episode 4 of Cutie Pie season 2 we can see that the wedding of NuKuea and Lian is about to get destroyed by bad weather. Syn, the loyal friend he is, is straight away trying to change the weather by ramming some lemon grass into the sand of the beach. But while doing it, he also wonders out loud if he is even still seen as virginal enough as he just spent the day snogging the living daylight out of his cute boyfriend Nuea. 

And here we have it. Ramming lemongrass with the head first into the soil makes rain disappear as looooooong as you are still a virgin. If you are, maybe give it a try during the next rain. Maybe Thai people found the most amazing way against rain. If you look at the sunshine they have, you could definitely start to believe that they might just be right with this.
