Hello, hello, my lovely Misfits,
And welcome to another Manga Magic. Yes, I have been shopping again and my little manga collection is taking some shape and form. I can proudly say by now I own 30 BL mangas, Which is not too bad given the fact that at the beginning of this year I owned spectacular 2. So yeah, the reading is going strong and I am dipping my toes into even more and more different genres. And today I have one of my favourites with me: Man with kid falls in love.
Yes, yes, I am a girl and when I see a storyline with children I go all giddy and gooey eyed. It’s just like a law of nature for me. Show me a gay couple with a kid and I am sold straight away. The manga I want to talk about today is
Ookamipapa Wa Hitsujizura Shite Yattekuru
By Haiji Kurusu.
I bought and read this one a while ago already, before I even started with this series. And I just fell totally in love with it straight away. It has everything, my heart and my dirty mind needs. So perfect combination.
What Is It About?
Tatsumi has one golden rule: Never sleep with a man with a family. But when he meets his colleague Yuto all his good resolutions go out of the window. Because Yuto is not just incredibly charming and good looking, but he is also father to a little boy named Ritsu. Tatsumi tries everything to stay away from this father son duo, but he clearly didn’t expect Yuto and Ritsu’s perseverance when it comes to pursuing this possible new member of their family. But will they succeed in changing Tatsumi’s mind?
Why Did I Buy It?
Yes, yes. The cover again. But I have to say for other reasons than usual, as the cover is just pure saccharin and so incredibly cute and sweet. I just love storylines with kids in it and Ritsu is just so cute how he just laughs at the cover… I am just a woman and this made my uterus pretty much glow.
Age Rating?
There is no official age rating but I would say it’s 18+ as there are definitely some very racy scenes here. But if you are worried about smut and children I can settle any uneasiness. Because the way sex happens is really just the way every grown up with a kid at home handles it. Everything is away from our little cutie pie and it’s really extremely wholesome how these two can stay themselves while also taking care of a kid.
How Did I Like It?
Loved it so, so freaking much. It’s just incredibly cute and wholesome and there are a few slightly angsty moments but all in all it’s all really fluff and happiness. If this book were a candy it would be cotton candy in pastel pink. It’s really just such a wonderful story about a found family and that blood definitely doesn’t make a family at all. It’s all about choices you make and if you are willing to take care of each other. And before I forget: The drawings are freaking gorgeous. Even the smut is tasteful.
Final Impression?
I can’t recommend this manga enough if you need your daily portion of sugar shock. Because you will be pressed to find such a cute and sweet story again with such an adorable little kid in it. Both adults also are just such sweet and nice men and you just wish the best for all three of them. If you like storylines with kids in it, this one is definitely for you.
How Many Pink Milks?
(Zero Pink Milks mean “no fluff at all”, five Pink Milks mean “you gonna die of diabetes”)
5
How Many Chilli Peppers?
(Zero Chillies mean “not even a kiss”, five Chillies mean “don’t read in company”)
4
How Many Hearts?
(Zero Hearts mean “hated it with a passion”, five Hearts mean “totally loved it”)

And that’s it. Another Manga Magic done and dusted. Let’s see what I am gonna write about next week. I am sure it’s gonna be another fun one.
